We foster a dynamic and collaborative environment where students, PhD candidates, and faculty work side by side in cutting-edge labs, simulation platforms, and living labs integrated within our UM6P Hospital and the Smart Health Care City of Benguerir. The Molecular & Cellular Biology team at FMS–UM6P explores the fundamental mechanisms behind neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s) and brain cancers like glioblastoma. The research aims to drive innovation in RNA-based therapies and personalized medicine.

The BRT at FMS-UM6P focuses on developing innovative biomaterials for tissue repair, combining material science, nanotechnology, and bioengineering.

                    For bone regeneration and injectable biocompatible cements used in minimally invasive surgery
                  • Bioactive Glasses
                    Functionalized with therapeutic ions for bone and soft tissue repair, with antimicrobial and osteogenic properties

                    Injectable, environment-responsive hydrogels for cartilage regeneration in osteoarthritis treatment

The team also explores drug delivery systems, natural phosphate valorization, and scaffold design for tissue engineering.

The Epidemiology and Public Health team at the Faculty of Medical Sciences – UM6P is committed to tackling major public health challenges in Morocco and beyond. The focus is on preventive strategies, health data analysis, and policy support to improve population well-being and reduce health inequalities.
